Fundacion Monte de Piedad is committed to providing scholarships to emerging young leaders and scholars within the South County of San Diego. We recognize that a fundamental building block for community success is access to a quality education and strong leadership.
Fundacion Monte de Piedad awards scholarships to deserving students to provide them with the financial assistance needed to commence or continue their studies at educational institutions. Scholarships are awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis without regard to race, color, age, religion, or sex.
Applicants must meet the following standards:
- Must be graduated or about to graduate from high school or its equivalent and be enrolled or about to enroll at an accredited college, junior college, university, trade or business school or graduate, postgraduate or professional school.
- Must submit a confidential application form to the Selection Committee of Fundacion Monte de Piedad
- Must demonstrate character and motivation to obtain an education and will be expected to work hard, seriously, and continue to complete his or her education
- Exhibit need for financial assistance in completing applicant’s studies and can demonstrate such fact by information submitted with the application.
